CODA electric

Future360 got to test drive one of the first production vehicles from LA-based automaker, CODA Automotive. CODA's EPA approved 88 mile range was put to the test with a driving tour around the country's car capital, Los Angeles.

With my driving partner, Mark Rechtin of Automotive News, we embarked on tour of the city starting at the Fairmont Hotel in Santa Monica, stopping at the Century City CODA experience center, passing through the LA River (yes, actually into the river), through downtown Los Angeles, into the valley, up the mountains to the Inn of the Seventh Ray in Topanga Canyon, and finally back along the coast to Santa Monica. We drove a total of 82 miles and had a healthy 7% battery power to spare. Proving that with a bit of planning, range anxiety is nothing to fear. Watch out for our video on CODA next week.
